National Infrastructure and Implementation

Research conducted by PsykForsk has contributed to the evidence base supporting submissions to Nye Metoder for the introduction of intravenous ketamine for both treatment-resistant depression and acute suicidal syndrome. Through clinical research, implementation studies, and real-world data collection, the group has contributed to establishing evidence-based ketamine treatment within specialist mental healthcare in Norway.

This work also laid the foundation for the establishment of the Norwegian Rapid-Acting Antidepressant Network (NORAAD) [lenke til NORAAD side], a national multidisciplinary collaboration supporting clinical research and implementation of rapid-acting antidepressant treatments across Norway.
