Our research focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative treatments for severe mental disorders, with a particular emphasis on treatment-resistant depression (TRD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and related conditions. We are committed to the safe and evidence-based implementation of novel psychiatric treatments into routine clinical practice. By combining randomized clinical trials, real-world implementation studies, observational research, and international collaborations, we accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into improved patient care.
Our research programme spans the full translational pathway—from early proof-of-concept studies and randomized clinical trials to implementation research and real-world effectiveness studies. Our current portfolio includes two ongoing research projects, two planned PhD projects, two competitive grant applications, and two completed clinical trials, supported by more than NOK 43 million in competitive external funding, in addition to SEK 5 million from the Norrsken Foundation.
